3 WAYS YOU CAN BE PART OF CHANGING THE LIVES OF MANY
In 2013, we built a dispensary to combat the lack of available medical care in the region in which Bread of Life works. We officially opened the facility in partnership with the tribal government in 2016, but we have learned that our community needs more in-depth health care. In January 2019, we broke ground on a clinic expansion that will more than triple the size of our health care facility. This new expansion will include a maternity ward, a general ward, and a laboratory. We will start with a capacity for 8 patients, 4 in each ward. We are still raising funds to outfit the facility with hospital beds and a system for solar power.
Ambulance / medical outreach Vehicle
The tribal government has requested that we partner with them to take access to medical care further into the bush through weekly medical outreaches. Our missionaries would serve alongside the county's medical staff to serve those whose access to any medical care is beyond reach. Although the government will provide all the medication and some staff, they have asked us to help provide a vehicle. This vehicle, most likely a land cruiser which can make it through the difficult terrain, would also be used as an ambulance to the county hospital if any of our community members need greater care than what we can provide at our facility.
